LINK Ensemble is a chamber group interested in exploring ways to

listen to, present, and connect audiences with chamber music in the

twenty-first century. Forming a "Pierrot" Ensemble (the instrumentation

of Arnold Schoenberg's landmark Pierrot Lunaire with added

percussion) allowing a wide investigation of the music of our time,

the ensemble is the quintessential contemporary consort,

performing works for the entire sextet as well as chamber works

for any combinations of its instruments.

Ties and cross-references in instrumentation, tone language, artistic influences, musical form,

genre, or extra musical resources guide the programming, designed to offer the

audience a cohesive listening experience suggesting perspectives on art and humanity.

In the last two seasons the ensemble had presented concerts, collaborated with composers, and

reached out to the community as well as to young composers in educational residencies.

Based in New York City, LINK Ensemble was founded in 2007 by cellist Ella Toovy.

Since LINK’s formation in 2007 the ensemble has generated growing interest from audiences,

composers, collaborators, and presenters alike and is constantly in the process of expanding

its reach and scope of activities, to concerts in traditional and innovative unconventional

concert venues/settings, planned university residencies, educational activities, interactive

programs and cross-genre collaborative initiatives. The ensemble builds an impressive body

of repertoire, and invests great care and attention into the highest quality of performance and

interpretation. LINK is comprised of some of New York most exciting performers, whose

individual highly active careers span from featured solo engagements and recitals through

chamber music concerts, new music performances, collaborations with other art forms to

education the young generation of musicians.
